What's On Our Mind 10-28-2022

We have only 11 days to save our Democratic majority in the House. Today’s Candidate Spotlight focuses on several key House raises which include several challengers and one incumbent. Chris Deluzio (PA-17), Nikki Budzinski (IL-13), Seth Magaziner (RI-2), Eric Sorensen (IL-17), and Frank Mrvan (IN-1) are all in difficult, toss-up races. JAC is proud to support them. We need to help them win to preserve our pro-JAC majority. We hope we can count on your support.
Chris Deluzio (PA-17) is an army veteran and a voting rights attorney, Chris is prepared to protect and defend our democracy. This seat was vacated by Rep. Conor Lamb (D-PA) who narrowly won it in 2020. The seat must remain blue to keep the House in Democratic hands. Despite recent leads against his opponent, the race is tightening up. After redistricting, the district is evenly split between Democrats and Republicans and remains a toss-up. DONATE TO CHRIS
Nikki Budzinski (IL-13) will be a friend to JAC and our values in Congress. She has extensive experience working in Illinois government. She will not pass the buck when it comes to tackling the climate crisis and fighting for clean air and clean water This Illinois’ district is currently held by a Republican, but after redistricting Democrats have the best chance in years to turn the seat blue. DONATE TO NIKKI.
Seth Magaziner (RI-2) is treasurer of Rhode Island and running to represent this open seat. His priorities are to fight for a woman’s right to choose, pass common sense gun legislation, and invest in education. The GOP is heavily investing in this toss-up race. Seth will be on our side in Congress. DONATE TO SETH.
Eric Sorensen (IL-17) is a well-known television weatherman running for this northwest Illinois open seat. His priorities are addressing rising costs for groceries, gas, and essentials for every American, securing reproductive rights and guaranteeing access to abortion and other healthcare services. He is running tie with his GOP opponent. This is a must-keep seat. DONATE TO ERIC.
Frank Mrvan (IN-1) is a first term Representative in a district that has been in Democratic hands for nearly a century. But redistricting has turned this into dangerous territory. Today he is fighting to keep this seat in an area where the GOP has made inroads with union and Hispanics voters who live there. He is strong on all of JAC’s issues and we need him in Congress. DONATE TO FRANK.
