What's On Our Mind 11-4-2022

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN

After a long and tumultuous election cycle, we are now down to the final stretch. What we do in these next moments can and will impact the outcome on Tuesday.

JAC has asked a lot of you these past months, and you have stepped up. But now we need you to stretch a bit more. Every minute counts between now and Tuesday. If we can reach one more voter in one more neighborhood, we can send JAC candidates back to Congress who will protect our abortion rights and democracy. Many elections have been won by only a handful of votes.

Can you spend 20 minutes phoning voters in key states? (links below)

Can you spend an afternoon knocking on doors?

Let’s stop looking at polls and listening to the pundits and put our energy where it counts — getting our voters out.

If you live in the Chicago area, join JAC as we travel to Kenosha, WI to knock on doors for Mandela Barnes on Sunday. Click here to RSVP

If you live outside Chicago and there is a key race in your state or near you, gather some friends and go knock on doors.

Wherever you live, you can make phone calls. (See list below)

This toxic political environment has left us all feeling exhausted and scared. But we must muster a bit more energy and a bit more enthusiasm to finish the job.

As former President Barack Obama said, “If you’re scared, if you’re anxious, if you’re frustrated, don’t complain. Don’t boo. Don’t tune out. Don’t get distracted. Don’t get bamboozled. Don’t fall for the okey-doke that says nothing you say or do matters.”

We all know what is at stake. If we don’t win on Tuesday, the loss will be felt for a generation or more.

Don’t let that happen. Do something. Anything and everything can and will make a difference. Together we can do this.

ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES.
